How I can cut PVC pipe (which has no factory has expired) Level / square so that it can stand up straight?
I have a large PVC pipe scrap (just over 9 "outside diameter, 6 'long, 3 / 4" thick walls) and NOT factory cuts in the end, so that the ends are not level. If I'm up in the tube of a concrete floor, which is going to fall because the ends are twisted. How I can do straight cut level to lift at both ends in almost perfect horizontality? Basically, I need to play the square cut @ home factory. The method I can only think is to wrap tape around once and overlap a little. When the ends of duct tape evenly match, I will use a marker and edge of the tape as a ruler and mark around the tube. Remove the tape, then cut w / a mountain on the line you just created. Any other ideas? Other Misc. questions: a. What kind of template of blade should I use? B. Any other recommendation and tape to wrap around the pipe? Thanks!
Buy or find a link that is made for the tube size. Slide in the unequal end, and the mark or cut the pipe with the seam edge as your guide. It will be perfectly square. You can use a sheet of metal or wood to cut, even a chain saw. Or, you can leave the link at the end unequal. Since the coupling will create a square end that are held on the coupling, will be a bit larger, therefore more stable, and not have to make cuts.
